What if we take longer than the allotted time?

This applies to both public and private events.  If you choose to paint longer than the time allotted than our instructors are required to charge $5 per person per hour each additional half hour for their time to stay.  Sorry, no exceptions.

What is the difference in a Private Party and a Regular Class?

Private Parties are just that… private.  Private parties have minimums and get to choose the painting that they do.

Public classes are open to all, so you may come by yourself or with a group.  Paintings for public classes are preselected and posted online.

What if I am running late?

We start our classes promptly at the scheduled time.  Students arriving more than 30 minutes late will not be admitted and funds will be forfeited.  Students arriving late will be checked in as soon as the instructor is available but will need to catch up on their own as the instructor will need to keep the class going.

When should I arrive?

Public classes will open 30 minutes prior to class start time and we highly recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early as our check in process takes a few minutes to get everyone signed in, paint distributed, etc.  Class starts at the scheduled time, so if twenty people arrive at two minutes before class- it makes it quite difficult. So please, try to arrive early.

What is the minimum age?

Old version: Our evening classes are designed for adults and our Saturday kid’s classes are designed for kids. So please keep that in mind when registering.  Our policy requires that children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a paying and painting adult for our evening classes.

For kids classes, you are welcome to drop and go. Our classes are not designed for infants and attendees must be painting.  The only exception to this is adults that wish to stay and watch their children during kids classes are welcome to do so but during evening classes only painters will be allowed to enter.

For our private parties:

No children under the age of 5.

The host/hostess must be in attendance at all times.

For our public classes held on off sites:

No children under the age of 5.

Children 18 and under must be accompanied by an adult. (The adult does not have to paint.)

Our evening/adult classes, by policy, require children from 5-12 years must be accompanied by an adult, and both must pay to paint.

What should I wear?

Wear paint appropriate clothing.  Our paints are acrylic and can stain. Masterpiece Mixers takes no responsibility for paint stains so please make sure to dress accordingly.

How far in advance should I register?

Private Parties should register with a week minimum. Give your partiers plenty of notice! Remember your $100 deposit is to hold your time slot and is non-refundable 24 hours before the party.

For Public events, you can register any time before the class is full.  We accept registrations up until all seats for that class is filled.

Do I have to register?

It is first come first serve.

Private Parties: your early registration and deposit will hold that time slot until the event.

For Public events: We highly recommend registering, as that will reserve your seat as the class fills up.  Additionally, we cancel classes with less than four registrants, so please make sure to register, as you never know when you might be the fourth person.

What is the Cancellation/Reschedule policy?

We have a 24 hour cancelation policy.  We know that emergencies, sickness and other events happen, however, the cancellation policy is in place so that we can appropriately plan our classes and space.  There are no exceptions on this policy.

How do I register?

It’s easy to register for our fun classes!  Simply visit our website and click Calendar.  Choose your location and then hover over the picture of the class you want to attend, and then click on the “Register Now” button. We will keep the charge on your card if you no-show or cancel (cancellations would receive a studio credit per our policy).

What do I bring with me?

Other than your sense of fun, you don’t have to bring a thing…we’ve got everything you need to create your masterpiece! However, you are welcome and encouraged to bring drinks and snacks to enjoy while painting.  Yep, that includes adult beverages, too! (check with your local studio on the alcohol policy and whether it’s BYOB or we sell.)

Having a party?  Great!  Feel free to bring pizza, cakes, cupcakes, appetizers or anything else you can think of for your guests.  Please note that we don’t have a kitchen, so we don’t have ice, refrigerators or microwaves.

What if I have never painted before?

No problem!  Our classes are designed for all levels, from those who’ve never held a paintbrush to professional artists.  Our fun and helpful instructors walk you step-by-step in creating your masterpiece.

How do I register with a Groupon?
